Each of us have hidden negative energy that stops us from being who we are meant to be. Learning to identify your areas of hidden negativity can help you release the negativity and lead you to discover your path to a healthier, happier life filled with purpose. Where is your Hidden Negativity? Answer all the questions below with one answer of either NEVER or SOMETIMES or ALL THE TIME. Then look below for your Hidden Negativity Results profile. Hint: If you have trouble answering a question remember to take the first answer that comes into your mind.

Answer each question as either NEVER or SOMETIMES or ALL THE TIME:

1. I like things to stay the same. I don't like change. 

2. If someone tries to do something I take over because I can do it better.

Rare Rhino Pregnancy Gives Hope to Species

Andalas-Ratu love story proves conservation efforts can work

CINCINNATI and LOS ANGELES and SUMATRA, Indonesia, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Conservationists across the world are celebrating a pregnancy in one of the world's most endangered species, the Sumatran Rhino. The pregnancy of female Ratu, born in Indonesia, and male Andalas, the first of only three Sumatran rhinos born in captivity in more than 112 years, is giving hope to international rhino biologists. The breeding occurred at Indonesia's Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary (SRS) in Way Kambas National Park following months of gradual introduction by scent, sound, sight and physical proximity. The calf is expected to be born in May 2011.


This is no ordinary pregnancy. Ratu wandered into a village just outside Way Kambas National Park in 2006; Andalas was born at the Cincinnati Zoo in 2001, raised at the Los Angeles Zoo and then transferred to SRS in 2007. With help from Dr. Robin Radcliffe of the International Rhino Foundation's (IRF) Rhino Conservation Medicine Program, the then-5 1/2-year-old Andalas journeyed more than 10,000 miles on a 63-hour trip by plane, truck and ferry.


"A combination of sound science, international collaboration among government, non-profits, and zoos, as well as timing and personal chemistry, has led to this groundbreaking event," said Dr. Susie Ellis, IRF executive director. "Sumatran rhino numbers have decreased by more than 50 percent over the last 15 years in the wild."


The Sumatran rhino population is estimated at approximately 200 individuals in the wild and 10 currently in captivity worldwide. Ratu's pregnancy represents the hope for a future generation.


Dr. Terri Roth, director of Cincinnati Zoo's Center for Conservation and Research of Endangered Wildlife (CREW) and vice president for IRF's Asia programs, has used her extensive training in reproductive biology to produce three Sumatran rhinos beginning with Andalas in 2001.


"Sumatran rhinos are very solitary by nature and aggressive towards one another except when a female is in estrus," said Dr. Roth. "Through science, we can determine when the female is ready to ovulate so she is paired with a male at the right time and fighting is minimized while the likelihood of conception is optimized. It is wonderful to see the science developed at CREW help our Indonesian colleagues achieve success in Sumatra."

Choose to Remember the Light


The Wise Ones have always taught the great gift of remembering the Living Light and the practice of placing ourselves in its presence before we embrace anything else. Of course the elevated nature of this kind of remembrance in the face of our trials requires our deliberate and conscious willing of it; but, to paraphrase St. Augustine, "My remembrance of thee is really an effect of thee remembering me." Which means that everything about Reality is already set up to help us succeed with our new aim.

So, in that same moment when you realize that something painful from your past has again pressed its way into you, holding you hostage to a hated image or painful regret, here is what to do: right there, right in that Now, instead of capitulating into that familiar state of feeling yourself to be a captive of what this pain tells you that you must remember (along with all of its suggested solutions for ending the suffering), you choose to remember the Light. Here is a quick look at what this new inner action entails.

Instead of being drawn into a struggle with that unwanted sense of conflict, complete with its cast of supporting characters drawn from your past, intentionally withdraw your attention from that stage show. And at the same time as you close the curtain on it, bring all of your reclaimed attention into the Now. Come awake to the sense of your own physical body. Observe what thoughts and feelings are pressing themselves into your awareness and, while working in the Now like this, welcome into you a conscious remembrance of the Light, of God's Life, of the whole truth as best you understand it.

To help get you started, here are a few other suggestions. When an angry thought flashes in your mind, accompanied by the fiery sensations born of recalling some injustice done to you in the past, instead of remembering the resentments this little image stirs in you, turn the tables on it. Bring its little troubled life into your remembrance of that greater presence within you that dwells well beyond its punishing power. Work like this whenever you can and, like a pebble tossed into a deep pond, the ripple effects of that past pain will simply disappear into the healing nature of the Now. Instead of a life of endless resistance, you will learn the timeless secret of how to replace any form of darkness with the Light you have chosen over it.

Choose to remember the Light. Let it fight for you. Not only will this Living Intelligence lift you above the fray of all that should be forgotten, but it also will guide you back home to a timeless place in yourself where the past no longer dwells.

Interview with Dr. Jane Greer


Dr. Jane Greer - HealthyLife.Net Radio Host of "Doctor On Call"

Dr. Jane is is a 20-year nationally known therapist, author, feature writer, radio host and TV guest expert.

HL- What led you to become a psychotherapist?

Starting in junior high school, I always loved talking with my friends and helping them work out boyfriend problems and anything else they were dealing with. As I got older, I discovered that helping people was a career choice and pursued it to acquire the skills to add to my innate love of finding solutions to difficulties and making life easier to deal with. It's a natural fit.

HL- What was your most fun TV interview as an expert?

Actually, there were two really fun TV interviews. The first was years ago on "The Maury Povich Show" dealing with "Celebrities Dating After Divorce." In the green room, I met Louise Du Art, a comedienne and impressionist. We had great fun on the show and became fast friends for life. The other TV show I really enjoyed was when I was featured as a guest on "To Tell the Truth" as the Sex Columnist for Redbook magazine. The most fun was that I managed to fool everyone, the audience, and celebrity panel!

HL-What topics do you cover when you write for Cosmopolitan magazine?

The topics I cover when contributing to the various woman's magazines, including Cosmopolitan, Allure, Self, Glamour, O, etc, all address dealing with relationships and how to cope better with them, including, marriage, sexual questions, infidelity and cheating, dating questions, financial concerns, parenting styles, and pretty much any and all relationship conflicts.

HL- How do you relax?

The things I love to do to relax include reading thriller books, and magazines, doing yoga, listening to music, watching television, ballroom dancing, going to movies, going out to dinner, spending time with family and friends, shopping, traveling, and brushing my dog.
HL- When should someone seek a psychotherapist? Someone should seek help when your unhappiness with yourself, a relationship you're in, or a situation you're dealing with such as a job, friendship, family matter affects you on a regular basis and leaves you feeling, alone, misunderstood, angry, disappointed, helpless, and stuck. That's the point at which these negative feelings can become like quicksand and make it hard for you to find your way out of their hold. Professional and objective help will give you both the perspective and the tools you can use to regain control and change things for the better for yourself.

HL-What do you like to cover on your "Doctor on Call" radio show?

I love to talk with anyone who has some expertise in a given area that will be helpful to pass on to the listeners so that they can learn new information which they can then use to enhance their lives. Authors, doctors, comedians, educators, musicians, anyone who has a personal story to tell that will help others is welcome as a guest.

HL- How is your message universal?

We're so much more alike than different. We all want to feel good about ourselves, love and be loved, use our talents and be recognized for them, and ultimately to find meaning in life. My major in college was comparative religions, and I loved scribbling in the margins "I just read this same point in my Taoism class" or "This is also in the chapter on Judaism." These underlying truths that are in every spiritual tradition are what Aldous Huxley called The Perennial Philosophy. I think that the more we look at those underlying connectors, rather than at our differences, the better off we'll be.

HL- What can we expect on your future shows?

More interesting, exciting, and entertaining guests covering a range of topics that all deal with enhancing your self esteem and being your best self possible, including exercise, diet, skin, care as well as coping with illness and death and overcoming adversity in living.

HL- What is your favorite word and why?

My favorite word is fun. I love to have it; it's the best thing to share with everyone and anyone. I enjoy making each encounter fun, and making the difficult easier by turning challenges into fun.
